Ava Jean Whitehead, 87, of Hohenwald, passed away on Wednesday, November 20, 2019, at the Life Care Center of Centerville. She was devoted to her family, and her grandchildren were her pride and joy.

She was born in Lawrence Co., TN, on May 16, 1932, to Jeff and Gena Escue.

She worked at every factory that’s been in the Hohenwald area!

She is survived by her son, Tony (Georgia) Whitehead of Lawrenceburg, TN; daughters, Dorris Brewer of Hohenwald, TN, Irma Sealey of Hohenwald, TN, and Margaret Whitehead of Columbia, TN; sister, Edith Westbrooks of Hohenwald, TN, 11 Grandchildren, and 12 Great Grandchildren.

Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by two sons, Robert and Calvin Austin Whitehead, and one daughter, Roberta Whitehead.

Visitation with the family will be held on Friday, November 22, 2019, from 5:00 PM-8:00 PM at the McDonald Funeral Home in Hohenwald. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, November 23, 2019, at 1:00 PM in the McDonald Funeral Home Chapel, Bill Webb will officiate.  Burial will follow in the Swiss Cemetery, Hohenwald TN.
