White, Curtis Howard Jr
Curtis Howard White Jr. was born in Houston, TX on December 29, 1948 to the late Howel “Judy” White and Curtis Howard White Sr. He passed away in Centerville, TN on September 4, 2020 at the age of 71.
Curtis was an electrician for the TVA but held many jobs throughout his life which includes working as a Sheriff’s deputy, storm chaser, and Med-Ride driver. He was most recently operating his own lawn mowing service. He was a known volunteer in the community and was always happy to help a neighbor.
A veteran of the United States Army, Curtis was honorably discharged in 1975 at the rank of Specialist. He was also a proud member of the Centerville Masonic Lodge.
Above all, Curtis was a strong Christian man who was dedicated to serving the Lord. Never was there a Sunday where you couldn’t find him and his family at church.
Surviving family include his wife of 39 years, Linda White; his daughters, Sabrina (Chaz) Donegan, Amber (Tomë) Burks, Angela (Brian) White Bruce, Mary (Scott) Batts, Elizabeth (the late Joshua Gordon) Gordon; his sister, Carolyn White; his brother, John Elword White; his grandchildren, Austin Chase Bruce, Richard James Batts, James Howard Gordon, Savannah Lynn McCarter, Nathaniel Curtis McCarter, Alexander O’Neal Beard, Maura Elaine Batts, Annabelle Mae Donegan, Declan Cooper Donegan, and Hadley Nora Donegan; six great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and a host of family and friends.
A memorial service for Curtis Howard White Jr. will be held at the Edgewood Baptist Church on Monday, September 7 at 4PM. A visitation with family and friends will be held the same day from 2PM until service time.
