Jerry Dennis Whitchard, of Centerville, died January 28, 2022, at the age of 66 years. He was born in Tampa, Florida, on August 14, 1955, to the late J. R. Whitchard and Joy Dowden Adams.

Mr. Whitchard is survived by his wife, Vicky Carr Whitchard, daughter, April Burleson, son, Andy (Brandy) Lahr, daughter, Katie (Dwight) Bivens, grandchildren, Jared Burleson and Adrianna England, and sisters, Shelah Sandefur and Linda Slywczuk.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Whitchard was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Sandefur.

Mr. Whitchard was a diesel mechanic and a veteran of the United States Navy.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
