Rev. Marvin Oscar Wayland, age 98, born December 1, 1906 in Sheffield, Colbert Co, AL, died March 2, 2005 at Baptist-Hickman Nursing Home, Centerville, Hickman Co, TN. 

The funeral will be held at: McDonald Funeral Home Inc, March 4, 2005 at 1:00 PM.  The officiating clergy will be Clarence Stewart, and Richard Tate.  Burial will take place March 4, 2005 in the Swiss Cemetery, Hohenwald, TN.  Visitation will be Thursday, March 3, 2005 at 5:00 PM. 

Survivors include son, James Wayland;  daughter, Doris Duncan;  half-brother, Rayford Livingood;  five grandchildren;  sixteen great-grandchildren;  six great-great-grandchildren. 

Preceded in death by his wife, Waymon Wayland and parents, Harvey Marvin and Lillie (DeFoe) Wayland.
