Wayland, James Marvin
James Marvin Wayland, 81, died Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at Baptist Hickman County Hospital in Centerville. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, February 18, 2011 in the McDonald Funeral Home Chapel with Richard Tate officiating. Interment will follow in the Swiss Cemetery. Mr. Wayland was born October 4, 1929 in Iron City to the late Marvin O. and Waymon Newman Wayland. He served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He taught electronic at the Vocational School for 20 years and owned the television repair service at the Western Auto Store for 20 years. Survivors include his wife, Peggy J. Warren Wayland of Hohenwald; son, Terry Lee (Jane) Wayland of Hohenwald; daughter-in-law, Paula Wayland of Calvert City, Kentucky; grandchildren, Jonathan Wayland of Hendersonville, Emily Locke of Maryland, Darren Wayland and Lindsey Wayland, both of Hohenwald; great grandchildren, Jaxon Dean Wayland of Hendersonville and Raylee Shea Wayland of Hohenwald. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, Jackie Dean Wayland and a sister, Doris Duncan.
