Ralph Walter Wallmeier, Sr. was born on August 25, 1949, in Essen-Kray, Germany, to the late Heinz Walter Wallmeier and Gisela Franziska Wallmeier and died on March 13, 2023, at the age of 73 years.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his loving step mother Ursula Wallmeier, brother Peter and sister Christiana. Survivors include his daughters, Cherlyn (Jeff) Hoover and Erika (Luke) Schwarzenberger, son, Ralph Walter (Toni) Wallmeier, Jr., his brother, Manfred (Sheri) Wallmeier, 11 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

Mr. Wallmeier came to the United States on July 2, 1959, and became a proud naturalized US citizen in December 1967. Mr. Wallmeier served his country in the United States Air Force and was a strong supporter of the American Legion and the VFW. He was an avid reader having read over 1,880 books since 2006 and was well known at the local library.
