Vigil, Ned Edmund Cruz
Ned Edmund Cruz Vigil, a retired veteran, jeweler, and passionate political enthusiast, was born on June 28, 1951, in Jersey City, New Jersey. He passed away peacefully on July 18, 2023, in Linden, Tennessee. Throughout his life, he impacted many that were able to cross paths with.
Born to Ned and Charlotte Vigil. He leaves behind his cherished siblings, Charlotte Barone, Darlene Koren, Clyde Vigil, and Paul Vigil.
He began his professional career as a jeweler as a teenager, but the career he was most proud of was his military background. He won soldier of the month numerous times and was a heavy machinery operator in the Army as well. Later after retiring from the military, he began substituting at local schools as a Spanish teacher.
Ned was a man of many interests, but loved the people in his inner circle that understood his unique ways. He loved talking on the phone for hours on end with those close to him. He was health conscious and was adamant about eating healthy.
He was renowned for his insightful commentary on current affairs and his ability to engage in rich, thought-provoking discussions. In his downtime, Ned could be found deeply engrossed in a television series or a political debate.
Ned Edmund Cruz Vigil’s legacy is not marked by the end of his journey, but by the lives he touched, the hearts he warmed, and the smiles he inspired. His memory will live on in the stories told, the laughter shared, and the love he spread throughout his remarkable life.
