Verdin, Robert Noel
Robert Noel Verdin, a man whose laughter and creativity brightened the lives of those around him, passed away on the 29th of June 2024, at his home in Hohenwald. Born in Agana, Guam, on November 22, 1961, Robert’s journey through life was marked by his loving nature, his ingenuity, and his unwavering spirit of generosity.
The son of Roylyn Barber and the late Robert James Verdin, Robert grew up in a family that valued close ties and resilience. Though he faced the loss of his father, brother Alan James Verdin, and stepbrother Tony (Pineapple) Barber, Robert’s strength of character never waned. He was a pillar of support for his mother, his stepfather the late Douglas Barber Sr., his sister Debbie Harden (Mike), his brother Gary Lee Verdin (Tina), stepbrother Doug Barber Jr. (Vicki), and sister-in-law Gina Barber. His legacy of love and laughter will live on through his cherished children, Nicole Morley Pelletier and Amanda Nichols (Corey), and his six adored grandchildren.
Robert’s professional life as an engineer in the construction hospitality sector was characterized by the same dedication and enthusiasm that he brought to every aspect of his life.
Beyond the professional realm, Robert was a man of diverse interests and talents. His passion for NASCAR was matched only by his skill in woodworking, and many family members and friends are the proud owners of his handcrafted pieces. Robert’s love for playing cards was about more than just the game; it was about the joy of companionship and the friendly competition that often ended in laughter and shared stories.
Those who knew Robert will remember him as selfless and humorous, with a golden heart that never failed to shine through in his actions and his words. His ability to find humor in the everyday and his knack for creative problem-solving were gifts that made him a cherished presence in every circle.
Robert’s life was a testament to the qualities that best defined him: loving, funny, and creative. He had the rare ability to light up a room with his humor, to touch hearts with his warmth, and to inspire others with his imaginative spirit. His passing leaves a void in the lives of those who knew him, but the memories he created will continue to bring smiles to faces and comfort to souls.
A celebration of Robert Noel Verdin’s life will be held on July 20th at 239 Tracy Road, Hohenwald, where family, friends, and those whose lives were touched by Robert can come together to share stories, laughter, and the love that he so freely gave to the world.
