Vaughn, Wilma Jean
Wilma Jean Vaughn was born on May 31, 1936 in Giles County and passed away on August 2, 2019 at her home in Hohenwald at the age of 83. She was the daughter of the late Bascom and Jossie Watkins Estes. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Vaughn Sr.; sisters, Rachel Chapman and Okalene Rowe; brothers, Robert Estes, Bud Estes and John Estes; daughter-in-law, Carrie Vaughn; sons-in-law, Roy Hinson and Frank Carney; grandsons, Erik Vaughn and Jay Fowlkes. Wilma is survived by her daughters, Ethel Hinson, Joyce (Bill) Runions, Bertha (Joe) Fowlkes, and Sue Carney; sons, Jimmy (Pauline) Vaughn Sr., Clyde (Pam) Vaughn Jr. and Paul (Teresa) Vaughn; brother, J.B. Estes; twenty-three grandchildren; forty-two great-grandchildren; twelve great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was a homemaker and dedicated her life to taking care of others. She enjoyed her word search puzzles, music of all kinds, and cooking. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She had a wonderful smile and a contagious laugh. She was loved by many and will be deeply missed. Wilma will be laid to rest next to her husband, Clyde, at Pisgah Cemetery in Mt. Pleasant with a graveside service at a later date. Adair Funeral and Cremation Services of Hohenwald assisted the family with arrangements.
