James William “Wig” Vaughn, age 79 of Hampshire, passed away on September 20, 2020, at NHC Maury Regional in Columbia.

James was born on June 1, 1941, in Hohenwald to the late James Robert and Ethel Lee Himes Vaughn.James is better known as “Wig,” or “Wiggy” and worked in construction and on the farm all his life.

He is survived by his son, Thomas Vaughn of Mt. Pleasant; siblings, Robert Vaughn of Spring Hill, Florida, Fay Embler of Hampshire and Henry (Linda) Vaughn of Hampshire; nephews and nieces including James H. Vaughn, David Vaughn, Janet Beth Embler, and many others.

Wiggy is preceded in death by his brother, Clyde Vaughn Sr., and his sister, Mary Louise Frazier.

James will be laid to rest in the Pisgah Cemetery.
