Mr. James Douglas Vaughn was born in Brentwood, TN on October 8, 1941 to the late James W. and Mary Cochran Vaughn and entered eternal rest on January 18, 2023 in Nashville, TN at the age of 81.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Vaughn is predeceased by two sisters and one brother. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Carolyn Gilliam Vaughn, son, Chris Gilliam, and a host of other family members and friends.

Jim was a good Christian man who loved God, his family and friends deeply. He enjoyed farming by tending to his cattle and working in the hay fields. He liked to hunt and fish. He enjoyed taking trail rides to enjoy the wonders of nature and watching beautiful sunsets. Jim brought Carolyn a rose every day and would tell her “This is an I love you rose”.

Visitation with the family will be January 20, 2023 from 3:00 – 8:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home – Hickman County.  Funeral Services will be January 21, 2023 at 9:00 AM at McDonald Funeral Home – Hickman County with burial to follow at Martin Cemetery, Lyles, TN.
