Samuel Monroe Tyler, of Lyles, Tennessee, died January 27, 2022, at Tristar Horizon Medical Center in Dickson, Tennessee, at the age of 82 years. Mr. Tyler was born May 23, 1939, in Lyles to the late Tillman Monroe and Avery Lee Haskins Tyler.

Mr. Tyler is survived by his daughters, Kathy (Melvin) Tibbs and Patricia (Raymond) Scott, his sons, Terry (Connie) Tyler and Sammy (Cindy) Tyler, and daughter-in-law Nancy Tyler. He is also survived by his sister Joyce Tyler, brothers Bobby Tyler and John Tyler, 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Tyler is preceded in death by his wife, Jennie Pearl Powell Tyler, his sons Frankie Tyler, Timmy Ray Tyler, Tommy Tyler and Danny Tyler, sister Barbara Winters, and brothers, William Tyler and Jimmy Tyler.

Mr. Tyler was retired from Urethane Associates, Inc. in Fairview, TN and his passion was cutting firewood.

Graveside services for Mr. Tyler will be Saturday, January 29, 2022, at Willow Springs Cemetery, Lyles, TN beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Ricky Warren officiating.
