Trull, Jimmy Dan
Our beloved Jimmy Dan Trull, 76, was called home to be with the Lord on September 25, 2023. He was born in Hohenwald, at the Boyce Clinic on October 27, 1946 to the late Carlene Cogdill and Franklin Fred Trull. He proudly served our country in the United States Army-101st Airborne.
Jimmy had many talents shown by his professional career as a factory worker at Lewis Products rubber company and UniRoyal Tire company, in Shelbyville, carpentry worker, auto mechanic at Weeks Chevrolet in Perry County County and in Hohenwald, Truck Driver at V&W Ready-mix, Hohenwald Truck Lines, Kay Windsor, and Barnes Sawmill.
He and his wife built their dream home on the farm on Garrison Road. He made sure his children, Troy and Amanda had many experiences that enriched their lives. He built an inground pool in the backyard, and 4-wheeler trails, a small shooting range for target practice, raised many animals, from chickens, ducks, pigeons, horses, mules, goats, and many dogs. He took his children coon hunting and taught them to drive a stick shift at around 10 years old. He was adored by his grandchildren and he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents Carlene (Bobby) Coble and Fred (Mildred)Trull, his grand parents Madge and Carl Cogdill, brothers Joe Trull and Bill Coble.
Jimmy is survived by his loving family Wanda Trull, his children Troy Dan Trull and Amanda Trull (Clint) Natschke, three grandchildren, Aaliyah Carroll (Corey) Merriman, Brandon Natschke and Miranda Natschke, two great grandsons Kai Israel Carroll and Tucker Lee Merriman, one great granddaughter Emmy Lou Merriman, sisters Cathy (Donnie) Rackler and Lisa (Steve) Gibson.
A Memorial Service will be held to celebrate Jimmy Trull’s life Sunday, October 8, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Highland Baptist Church in Hohenwald.
