Edward Mitchell Tidwell, age 74, of Bon Aqua, TN, passed away July 25, 2019. He was born in Bon Aqua to Mitchell and Lona Tidwell on August 8, 1944.

He met the love of his life, Faye, and knew he could not live without her. They traveled to Florence, AL to get married in 1963. Soon, there family grew with the addition of two sons. He proudly retired from the maintenance department of Vanderbilt University Medical Center as a plumber. He also owned Lyles Aluminum where he made aluminum sand castings of various items including things for Tennessee Walking Horses. Ed never met a stranger, and everyone that crossed paths with him came away blessed. He had a smile that lit up a room and loved to make people laugh. He loved nature and enjoyed all types of animals from dogs to horses to wild turkeys and squirrels.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mitchell Tidwell and Lona Pendergrass Tidwell, and his beloved wife Virginia Faye Randolph Tidwell.

He is survived by his sons, Tracy Tidwell and Stacy (Beth) Tidwell; grandchildren Kayla (James) Sawyer, Brandon (Hailey) Tidwell, Rachel (Jordan) Clifton, Briar Tidwell, and Ashley (Cannon) Anthony; and six great-grandchildren Kailee, Bentley, Brison, Alayla, Brody, and Lila Kate.

Visitation will be held on 28 Jul, 2019, from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the McDonald Funeral Home and 29 Jul 2019 from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM at New Hope Baptist Church-Bon Aqua. Funeral services will be conducted on 29 Jul 2019, at 3:00 PM in the McDonald Funeral Home- Hickman County. Burial will follow at the New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery, Bon Aqua, TN.
