Thomason, Jack D
Jack Dellinger Thomason, age 64, of Nunnelly, Tennessee, a man of grit, creativity, and countless stories, passed away peacefully at his home on August 22, 2025. Jack was born to the late J.D. Thomason & Lula Jean Summers in Smithville, Tennessee on February 25, 1961.
Jack wore many hats throughout his life. Many in the community will remember him as the original owner of Dillenger’s the Hide Out. It wasn’t just a place to grab a drink – it was a place where friendships were built, and memories were made. The spirit of the early days will always carry his influence.
His true passion was motorcycles. For more than 20 years he owned and operated his own shop, building and customizing Harley Davidsons with a master’s eye for detail. He loved the open road and would share that experience with others by making the annual trip to Florida for Bike Week. Jack had talent for creating things with his hands. He was a skilled welder and woodworker. These hobbies were more than pastimes – they were extensions of his creativity.
Those left to cherish his memory are his two daughters, Mandy Evans of Deltona, Florida, Jackyln Cox of Deltona, Florida; stepsons Danny Ray Selph of Florida, John Ellis Selph of Florida; grandchildren, Malek Evans, Adam Evans, Maci Cox, Masen Cox, Garrett Selph, Sarah Selph, Alyssa Selph, Olivia Selph; step brothers, Randy Smithson of Florida and Duke Thomason of Georgia, all who loved him dearly.
In addition to his parents Jack is preceded in death by his brother Bobby Wayne Thomason.
Jack was proud of his work, his family and the friendships he made along the way. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. Jacks’ family will honor his wishes for cremation, and he will be laid to rest, beside his father in Florida.
McDonald Funeral Home in Centerville, Tennessee is honored to be serving the Thomason Family during this difficult time.
