Laura Virgiline Tatum died Wednesday, November 19, 2003 at McNairy Regional Hospital in Selmer. She was 86. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, November 21, 2003, at 11: AM, in the chapel of McDonald Funeral Home, Hohenwald. Claude Gardner and Ray Wilson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Highland Cemetery in Wayne County. Mrs. Tatum was born May 12, 1917. She was the daughter of the late Ollie and Sallie Whitehead Adkins. She was the widow of the late Nathan Tatum. Survivors include a son, Jack (Barbara) Tatum of Linden, a daughter, Frances Hollie of Ramer, One sister Roxie Kelley of Gallatin. One half brother Johnny Adkins of Hohenwald. Two half sisters, Dona Lay of Parsons and Betty Burlison of Hohenwald. Also four grandchildren, Mark (Diana) Hollie of Ramer, Jeff (Angie) Tatum of Hohenwald, Sherrie (Ray Wilson of Adamsville and Beverly (Jason) Shanes of Linden. Five great-grandchildren Samantha Hollie of Ramer, Tyler and A’Lauren Shanes of Linden, Maddie and Hollie Wilson of Adamsville.
