Erlene Tatum, 77, died Tuesday, December 28, 2010 at her residence in Hohenwald. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 30, 2010 in the chapel of McDonald Funeral Home with Dewayne Sparks officiating. Interment followed in the Deavers Cemetery. Mrs. Tatum was born March 15, 1933 in Lewis County to the late Will and Adell Turnbow Hickerson. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, John DeWhitt Tatum. Survivors include six sons, Carl E. Tatum (Melba) of Parsons, Whit E. Tatum and Ernest Tatum (Jane), both of Hohenwald, Terry Tatum (Kathy) of Scotts Hill, Larry Tatum (Laura) of Flatwoods and DeWhitt Tatum, Jr. of Lawrenceburg; two daughters, Mary E. DeLion (Bill) and Adell Tatum, both of Linden; half brother, Hubert Cunningham of Charleston, Illinois; also eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
