Clarence Wilson “CW” Tarkington was born in Lyles, Tennessee, on March 17, 1927, to the late Robert “RD” Tarkington and Edith Mae Capps Tarkington and died June 24, 2021, at the age of 94 years.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Tarkington is preceded in death by his brothers Paul Tarkington and Olil Tarkington.

Mr. Tarkington is survived by his wife Elizabeth Ann McFarlin Tarkington and daughters Linda Maddox and her husband, Michael and Pam Allen and her husband, Frankie. He is survived by four grandchildren, Josh Winters, Chris Allen, Jenny Smith, and Amy Myatt and five great-children, Sarah Allen, Dillon Allen, Rowan Winters, Olivia Winters, and Katlyn Myatt.

Visitation with the Tarkington family will be Sunday, June 27 in the Chapel of McDonald Funeral Home beginning at 12:00 p.m. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Mike Kelley officiating. Burial will be in Lambert Cemetery, Centerville, TN.
