Billy Joe Tarkington was born in Lyles, TN on February 4, 1945 to the late Jimmy Lee and Essie Davidson Tarkington. He passed away on December 10, 2020 at the age of 75.

In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his wife, Lisa Tarkington of Lyles; daughter, Mary Malugin (Bridget) of Nunnelly; sons, Joey Duane Tarkington and James Malugin (Billie Jo), both of Lyles; sister, Brenda Buchard of Centerville; brothers, Larry Tarkington (Donna) of Sante Fe and Tom Tarkington of Columbia; as well as four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

A graveside service for Billy Tarkington will be held on Sunday, December 13, 2020 at 2:00 PM in the Lambert Cemetery, Centerville, TN. A visitation with the Tarkington family will also be held in the McDonald Funeral Home -Hickman County on Saturday, December 12, 2020 from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM.
