Willis Dean Sullenger, age 82, of Dukedom, Tennessee, passed away on December 22, 2024. He was born on June 17, 1942, in New Madrid, Missouri, to the late Odie Sullenger and Lulu Stockton Sullenger.

For 15 years, Willis lived in the Riverside community of Hohenwald, Tennessee, before moving to Dukedom. He was married to Claudia Mathis Sullenger, his beloved wife of 15 years.

Willis dedicated much of his life to hard work and craftsmanship. A proud Union Boilermaker, he retired at the age of 55 after a career of building and maintaining critical infrastructure. Even in retirement, his industrious spirit never waned. Willis spent his time building storage buildings, tending to his farm, and raising cattle. He was also skilled in plumbing and electrical work.

He is survived by his wife, Claudia Mathis Sullenger, sons Willis, Freddy, Thomas, Billy, and Kenneth Sullenger, daughters Deborah Bess and DeAnna, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be held on Sunday, December 29, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home in Hohenwald, TN, with Funeral Services to immediately follow beginning at 1:00 PM.  A burial will then follow in the Whitehead Cemetery in Waynesboro/Topsy, TN.
