Springer, Hezekiah M
Hezekiah Mitchell Springer, a resident of the Coble Community in Hickman County, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2024, at the age of 91, at Horizon Medical Center in Dickson, Tennessee.
Born on January 12, 1932, in Coble, Tennessee, he was the last surviving of nine children born to the late Iverson Edward Springer and Mamie Estella Hudgins Springer. Mr. Springer’s life was marked by deep connections with his family and community.
He is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Reda Springer, and his daughters, Mitzi (Jerry) Miller and Michelle (Larry) Rochelle. He leaves behind a legacy through his cherished grandchildren: Emily (Anthony) Bilancione, Mitchell (Leah) Williams, Mackenzie (Seth) Scott, Mason Rochelle, and Kelsey Baker. Eight great-grandchildren, Addie, Norah, Sienna, Sarah, Levi, Taylor, Morgan, and McKenna, also survive him. Additionally, Mr. Springer is remembered by numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
In addition to celebrating a life well-lived, it’s important to acknowledge his journey by remembering the family members who preceded him in death. Mr. Springer was preceded by his siblings, Batton Springer, Ruth Skelton, Rebecca Floyd, Laverne O’Guin, Martha Emma McNabb, Annie Lou Springer, Floy Beth Springer, and Juanita Sue Garner.

Visitation with the family will be 5 Jan 2024 from 3:00 – 7:00 PM and 6 Jan 2024 from 12:00 – 2:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home, Inc. – Hickman County. Funeral Services will be 6 Jan 2024 at 2:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home, Inc. – Hickman County with burial to follow at Batton and Ruby Springer Cemetery, Centerville, TN.
