Ollie Junior Spears, Drake Lane, Summertown, died Thursday, July 4, 2002, at St. Thomas Hospital. He was 70. Mr. Spears was born January 15, 1932, in Lewis County. He was the son of the late Henry Washington and Ollie Williams Spears. He was an United States Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, and a former City of Hohenwald laborer. The funeral was held Saturday, July 6, at 11:00 a.m. at MacDonald Funeral Home with Kyle Conner and Bill Webb, Pastor of the Blondy Church of God, officiating. Burial was in the Himes Cemetery in Summertown. Survivors include four brothers, Houston and Lawrence Spears of Hohenwald, Clyde Spears of Ethridge and Edward Spears of Ashland City; four sisters, Jean Shirley, Edna Potts, and Wilma Potts of Summertown, and Lois McBride of McEwen. In addition to his parents, Mr. Spears was preceded in death by his wife Melba Jean Spears.
