Ms. Melissa Smith passed away from natural causes at Magnolia Healthcare Center in Columbia, TN on May 2, 2022. Melissa was born in Marion, Indiana on March 27, 1968, to Jan Allan Mayer and the late Patricia Lee Mudd Mosier.  Along with her mother she was preceded in death by her stepfather Ronnie Mosier and son in law Nathan Reeves.

Missy has struggled in the past but has been sober for nearly nine months and doing well. A month ago, she was diagnosed with meningitis and fought hard to the very end. She enjoyed nothing more than spending every free moment she had with her grandchildren and family.  Her world revolved around each of them.

She leaves behind to cherish and carry on her memory, her daughters Jamie Reeves and Mary Smith; siblings John Mosier and Susan Woodcox; and her precious grandchildren Kendra Mosier, Julian Smith, and Ethan and Easten Reeves.

A private memorial will be held with family and close friends at a later date. Adair Funeral & Cremation Services is assisting the family with arrangements.
