Lucille Bass Shepard was born on January 22, 1936, in Hickman County, Tennessee, to the late Hubert and Illa Mae Bates Bass and peacefully departed on July 19, 2023, at the age of 87.

Lucille was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar C. Shepard. She is survived by her children: Deborah Elaine (Doug) Loope, Donna Sue (Billy) James, Donald C. (Christy) Shepard, and Denise (Daryl) Knowles. Her presence will also be missed by her grandchildren: Dawn Gibson, David and Darren James, and Daeden Knowles, along with her great-grandchildren: Clint Gibson, Ty Weaver, Toby Weaver, Dominick, and Abigail James, Cooper and Olivia James. Additionally, she was blessed to have great-great-grandchildren: Brilyn Gibson, John Weaver, Avery Weaver, and Becca and Rhett Batey.

As a homemaker, she dedicated her life to caring for her family and creating a loving home environment.

The Visitation with the Shepard family is scheduled for Saturday, July 22, 2023, at McDonald Funeral Home in Centerville from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Sunday, July 23, 2023 starting at 12:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. The service will be officiated by Ty Weaver, and burial will follow in Oakmont Cemetery, Centerville, TN.
