Will “Ralph” Shelton, a loving father and husband, of Centerville, Tennessee, passed away at the age of 90, on May 12, 2024. Ralph was born in Lobelville, Tennessee on May 22, 1933, to the late John Bell Shelton and Sarah “Sallie” (Marshall) Shelton. Ralph married Katherine Sykes of Grenada, Mississippi in 1958. Together they had five children and established their lifelong residence in the community of Centerville, Tennessee.

Ralph is best remembered for his strong work ethic. He was a former employee of Tennessee Gas for 21 years, the owner of the local NAPA Auto Parts Store for 28 years, and owned businesses in operating heavy equipment and paving.

Ralph is preceded in death by his father, John Bell Shelton, his mother and stepfather, Sallie and Alfred O’Guin, brothers John Shelton and Edward Shelton, and sister, Katherine Herzog.

Those left to cherish his memory are his devoted wife of 66 years, Mrs. Katherine Shelton of Centerville, Tennessee, children Lynn (Barry) Warren of Centerville, Tennessee, Marie (Jeff) Miller of Syracuse, Indiana, Nancy (Caryn) Shelton of Nashville, Tennessee, Barry (Melissa) Shelton of Centerville, Tennessee, Tina (Mark) Thigpen of Centerville, Tennessee, brothers Howard (Betty) O’Guin, Ronnie (Lottie) O’Guin, sister Jean (Wayne) Qualls and sister-in-law, Janice Shelton. Grandchildren, Luke (Joy) Burton, Madison (Jay) Renfro, Sydney Miller, Jamie Shelton, Bailey Shelton, John-Mark (Ashanti) Thigpen, Will Thigpen, Jackson Thigpen, and Ashley Anne Shelton. Great-grandchildren, Mallory, Hutson and Parker Burton, Cadence Shelton, Willow Thigpen and many nieces and nephews.

Ralph loved his family dearly and cherished them above all else. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation with the family will be 14 May 2024 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home, Inc. – Hickman County.  Graveside Services will be held 15 May 2024 at  3:30 PM at Chessor Cemetery, Centerville, TN.
