Terry “Sharpie” Wayne Sharpe was born on November 13, 1957, in Dickson, Tennessee, and passed away on January 10, 2023, in Nashville, Tennessee. He was 65 years old.

He is the son of the late Waymon “Fat” Mitchell Sharpe and Willie Dee Bailey Sharpe.

He is survived by his brother, Michael Ray Sharpe (Lisa) of Centerville. Sister, Patricia Givens (Buddy) of Centerville. Nephews, Chad Carroll and Christoper Michael Sharpe. Niece, Pricilla Love. Great-nephew, Landon Michael Carroll. Great-nieces, Alexis and Aleah Love. Along with many other relatives, friends, and loved ones.

When Terry was able he attended the Byers Chapel Church.

Terry was in the tire business his entire working life. He worked for Goodyear in Centerville, the Co-Op, the Hickman County Garage, and Owen’s Oil Company for many years. He loved his work and was well-known in Centerville for it.

Sharpie loved the outdoors. In his younger days, he would often ride quarter horses with his brother Michael. He was an avid hunter. He liked to deer and turkey hunt but was truly a squirrel-killing machine. He spent countless hours in the woods and from that there are countless stories that can be told by those lucky enough to spend that time with him. He liked to tell jokes and could sell you on a story. Terry was a regular at Homestead Restaurant for their breakfast.

Terry was loved by everyone that met him. Even his doctors were close to him and took the time to check on him often. He will be missed by all of his family, and by the Centerville Community.

Visitation with the family will be 12 January 2023 at 3:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home – Hickman County.  Funeral Services will be 13 January 2023 at 2:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home – Hickman County with burial to follow at Campground Cemetery, Centerville, TN.
