Mary Beth Shannon, age 89, born August 27, 1915 in Hohenwald, TN, died December 3, 2004 at the Quality Health Care Center in Lebanon, TN. The funeral will be held at: Lomax Church of Christ, December 5, 2004 at 2:00 PM. The officiating clergy will be Malcolm George, and grandson, Adam Coile. Burial will take place December 5, 2004 in the Palestine Cemetery, Hohenwald, TN. Visitation will be Saturday, December 4, 2004 at 12:30 PM – 9:00 PM and Sunday, December 5, 2004 from 12:00 Noon till service time at the Lomax Church of Christ. Survivors include son, John M. Shannon; daughters, Ann Bates and Sylvia Coile LeMay; sisters, Fay DeCamp and Joy James; grandsons, Adam (Jessica) Blake Coile and Ben Ryan Coile; granddaughters, Melinda (Stosh) Ann Morency, Tricia Lynne Bates, Lindsey Dayle and Megan Elizabeth Shannon. Preceded in death by her husband, Neeley Easley Shannon, parents, Madison Ervin and Effie Iva (Peery) Rochelle, sister, Ira Sue Rochelle and son-in-law, Jim Coile. Mrs. Shannon taught school for 45 years. She was a member of the Pilot Club, Delta Kappa Gamma, The Home Demostration Club – Early Bird. She was on the Senior Citizens Board and the Soil Conservation Board.
