Semore, Ernest Keith
Ernest Keith Semore, a loving brother, husband, father, uncle, and grandfather, of Centerville, Tennessee, passed away on April 12, 2025, at the age of 69.
Keith was born to the late Kenneth Ray and Lou Arlene Mathis Semore in Centerville, Tennessee on March 5, 1956. Keith was a man of deep-rooted values, love for tradition, twinkle of humor always at hand and a life built on things that mattered most.
Before retiring, Keith worked at S&S, Bi-Rite Grocery Store, Tencon, Levi Strauss and Company and the Turney Center State Prison. In his spare time, Keith enjoyed playing and watching basketball, watching his favorite football teams, the Indianapolis Colts and the Tennessee Vols, watching NASCAR races, and coaching in the Dixie Youth Baseball League, the Women’s Softball teams at Doyle Bowen Memorial Park, and Jr. Pro. Football at Doyle Bowen Memorial Park. He also enjoyed carpentry, woodworking, mechanics, and sewing. His love for classic country music ran deep, especially the twang and heart in Buck Owens’ songs. He also enjoyed catfishing with family and friends. His granddaughter, Chrislynn, was his pride and joy. His heart melted when she called him “Papa.”
In addition to his parents, Keith is preceded in death by his son and sister Judy Williams.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Debbie Semore of Centerville, Tennessee, sons, Bryan (Tiffany) Semore of Centerville, Tennessee, and Cody (Cassie) Semore of Lyles, Tennessee, granddaughter, Chrislynn, brother, Dale (Devan) Semore of North Carolina, and twin sister, Colene Beasley of Centerville, Tennessee, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He will be eternally missed by his family and friends.
Visitation with the family will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2025 from 4:00 – 9:00 PM, and on Thursday, April 17, 2025 at 11:00 AM until the time of the Funeral Service at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of McDonald Funeral Home – Hickman County. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Centerville, TN.
