Robert Ray Self, 59, died suddenly of an apparent heart attack in Salem, Missouri on Monday, July 29, 2002. Arrangements were made through Duncan Funeral Home in Mountain View, Missouri. Mr. Self was the son of the late Edd and Jennie Self. He was a United States Navy Veteran, farmer, logger and writer. Survivors include his wife, Amy Self, of Hohenwald; one son, David Self, of Jamestown; five daughters, Branwyn Fitschen, Felicity Purcell, Araminta Biton, and Verity Cooper, all of Boise, Idaho, and Serena Self of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; four sisters, one brother and seven grandchildren.
