Mr. Alexander Marshall Scandrett, age 81, passed on August 17, 2023, at his home in Hohenwald. He was born on February 25, 1942, in New York City to the late Richard Brown Scandrett and Mary (Lindenburger) Scandrett.

He made a career that he loved, working as a night supervisor for major airline companies. He held many different certifications in that field and was proud of those accomplishments.

Mr. Scandrett was a family man and held a special place in his heart for not only his children and grandchildren but for all children.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife of 59 years, Patricia (Belkrap) Scandrett of Hohenwald; his daughters, Elisabeth Scandrett of Hohenwald, Jennifer Das of Paris, New York, Patricia (Steve) Maniscalco of Oneonta, New York, and Deborah Scandrett of Virginia; his son, Alexander Scandrett, Jr. of Middletown, New York; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Lauren Scandrett.

If anyone would like to donate to Mr. Scandrett’s memory, they may do so to the American Cancer Society or Children’s Miracle Network.

The family would like to invite any family or friends to attend a potluck gathering in remembrance of Mr. Scandrett’s life on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Memorial Park.
