Sanders, Alton C, Jr
Alton “Buster” Charles Sanders, Jr., 130 Switzerland Road, died Wednesday, August 7, 2002 in a vehicular accident near Abilene, Texas. A family member reported Sanders was asleep in the sleeper portion of the tractor trailer truck when the accident happened. He was ejected from the vehicle. The driver apparently dozed and lost control of the vehicle when he overcorrected resulting in the one vehicle accident. The driver was reported to have only minor injuries. Funeral services were held Saturday, August 10 at 2:00 p.m. at McDonald Funeral HOme with Chet Darden and Richard Tate officiating. Burial was in Melton Cemetery. Mr. Sanders, 37, was the son of Alton Charles Sanders, Sr. of McKenzie and Ophelia Seiber Green of Hohenwald. He was born August 13, 1964 in Columbia. He was a United States Army Veteran, and was employed as a truck driver with Service Transport. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Kathy Huth Sanders of Hohenwald; step-father, Larry Green of Hohenwald, ;step-mother, Kathy Sanders of McKenzie; three sons, John Christopher, David Andrew, and Joseph Michael Sanders of Hohenwald; three step-daughters, Kayla Renee, Michelle Kathleen, and Corie Danielle Moore of Hohenwald; a sister, Lori Green of Hohenwald; a step-sister, Diane Renkema of Pawnee, Oklahoma; three step-brothers, Rodger Green of Pawnee, Oklahoma, and Stephen and Terry Green of Evansville, Indiana.
