Thomas Charles Russell, age 70, of Hohenwald, passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at his residence. He was born November 7, 1951 in Chicago, Illinois. He was married on October 22, 1975 in Lake County, Illinois. He was baptized at Fairfirled Church of Christ.

Mr. Russell worked as a machinist at CMP-Centerville Machine and Pattern. His interests and hobbies were fishing, guns, canoeing, family and drinking beer with friends and watching wrestling. He also went to school at Carl Sandburg in Orland Park, Illinois.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Russell; two sons, Thomas Russell and Dean Russell; one half-brother, Dennis Russell; two half-sisters, Hope Schaufel and Christina Russell; six grandchildren, Tommy Russell, Rebecca Russell, Riley Russell, Reagan Russell, River Dean Cooper, and Trison Russell; and one great-grandchild, Harper Jane.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Thomas Russell; mother, Donna Margaret Baker Russell; one son, Rocky Russell; and one sister, Bonita Russell.

Visitation with the Russell family was held Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Oakdale Funeral Home in Decatur County. Funeral services followed with minister Rodney Rochelle officiating. Burial took place at Franks Chapel Cemetery.
