Runions, Harry Truman
Harry Truman Runions passed away Sunday, September 14, 2025, at the age of 78, at his home surrounded by his family and loved ones. Harry was born on November 25, 1946, in Gordonsburg, to the late Malcom Paterson Runions and the late Margie Carroll Runions.
On June 26, 1966, he married the love of his life, Angela Gayle (Russell) Runions. They shared a love like no other for almost 52 years, until she was called to her heavenly home on March 17, 2018.
Mr. Runions was a lifetime logger. In his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his family, tinkering on his old vehicles and tractors, and enjoying fishing and camping with family and friends. He also had a great love for his dogs, Spot and Tiny. Harry’s greatest joy in life was being a grandfather and great-grandfather to a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was a man with a loving heart and soul who always seemed to be able to brighten your day or make you laugh.
In addition to his parents and his beloved wife, Mr. Runions is preceded in death by his grandson, Ricky Lynn Runions Jr., great-grandson Caleb Madison; his brothers Malcom “Bud” Runions, Charles “Chuck” Runions, Thurmon “TR” Runions, Wayne “Dub” Runions, and James “JT” Runions.
Mr. Runions is survived by his son Ricky (Carrie) Runions of Counce, TN.; daughter Laura (Wayne) Mosley of Columbia; grandchildren Chelsey (Buddy) Trotter, Amelia (Marcurio) Hobson all of Selmer, Ally, Aleah, Riley McCann (Maddie Tidwell) all of Savannah; Brooklynn (Chris) Barber of Hohenwald.; Cailey McCann (Joel Nix), Reagan McCann (Dwayne Fisher Jr.) of Fayetteville; Timothy Tripp and Tabitha Solis of Columbia. He has 16 great-grandchildren and was awaiting the arrival of a new great-granddaughter in March 2026. Special extended family Emily Weatherford also survives him, and his brothers Billy (Elaine) Runions, Dan Runions, Russell (Vera) Runions of Hohenwald; sisters Diane Runions, Darlene McDonald, Neva Runions; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service took place on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Springer Cemetery in Hohenwald. Brother Justin Osborne officiated at the service.
