Billy Robin Runions passed away at Maury Regional in Columbia on September 14, 2023. He was born in Hohenwald on December 16, 1953 to the late Mack Allen Runions and Rebecca (Himes) Runions.

Billy was an avid fisherman, he spent countless hours by the water. He enjoyed hunting and the calm of the woods around him. Billy’s hands were rarely idle. He had a knack for tinkering with vehicles, turning rusted pieces into shiny treasures.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Donald Runions, his sisters, Martha Runions, Margaret Runions, Lillian Runions, and Nettie Runions, and his granddaughter, Abby Carter.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his beloved wife, Joyce (Vaughn) Runions; children, Eddie (Michelle) Runions, Bobby (Angela) Runions, Dixie (Scott) Kolinski, Ashley (Jonathan) Pugh, and Paula Runions; siblings, Roy Runions, Joe Runions, and Daisy Runions; grandchildren, Jasmine Kolinski, Taylor Clark, Hunter Runions, Dakoda Runions, Dillan Runions, Daultan Runions, Kally Runions, Payton Tripp, and Preston Tripp; and great-grandchildren, Levi Carter, Kellie Carter, and Alayah Carter.

Billy Robin Runions was a man who embraced life with both hands. He was a fisherman, a hunter, a mechanic, and a friend to many. He is now resting peacefully with his best friends, Roy Hinson and Roger Davidson.

Visitation with the Runions family will be held on Sunday, September 17, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. in the chapel of McDonald Funeral Home – Lewis County. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 18, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of McDonald Funeral Home – Lewis County with Rodney Hinson officiating. Burial services will follow in Pisgah Cemetery in Mountt Pleasant, TN.
