Rosson, William H
In loving memory of William Hollis Rosson, a remarkable soul whose life was woven with threads of compassion, joy and dedication. At 59 years old, he departed this world, leaving behind a treasure of unforgettable moments.
William was born to the late Clifford “Skip” Hollis Rosson and Catherine Louise Davis Rosson, in Lewis County, Tennessee on September 3, 1964. In addition to his parents William is preceded in death by his grandparents; William Jethro Rosson, Maggie Lou McNabb Rosson, Howard “Bully” Davis and Mary Lou Rosson Davis.
William sought the joy of NASCAR and was an avid Jimmy Johnson fan. Whether he was cheering on #48, or sharing tales of races past, his enthusiasm was infectious. Williams’ other passion for life was the great outdoors he so dearly loved. A seasoned outdoorsman, William found peace in fishing and loved the thrill of a good turkey hunt.
Family was the cornerstone of his being. His heart was rooted in the ballfield where he found joy in watching or coaching his kids. His presence at his son’s games and daughter’s cheerleading events was a testament to his commitment to their passions.
For 33 years, William served his county, in the highway department working as a heavy machine operator, where he later retired from. His dedication and hard work were unwavering, earning the respect of all who worked alongside him. His commitment extended to his family pets, Dexter, Cheetah and Willow whom he loved dearly. William was a long time member of the Pinegrove Baptist Church and was baptized there when he was a boy.
For sixteen beautiful years, he shared an unbreakable bond with his beloved spouse, Angie Reeves Rosson. In addition to his wife, those left to cherish Williams memory are his daughter, Zora Rosson and son, Themen Rosson, of Duck River, Tennessee; stepdaughter Marie (Michael) Stewart of McEwen, Tennessee; stepson Dwayne Blocker of McEwen, Tennessee; siblings, Debbie Smith of Duck River, Tennessee, Cathey Daniels of Centerville, Tennessee, Gail Givens of Centerville, Tennessee and Tommy Rosson of Duck River, Tennessee; nieces, Sherry Smith of Duck River, Tennessee and Anna Tidwell of Springhill, Tennessee; great-nieces, Brianna Jenkins of Duck River, Tennessee, Brooke Boaz of Duck River, Tennessee; great nephews, Christopher “June Bug” Leming of Spring Hill, Tennessee and Ryan “Rhino” Leming of Spring Hill, Tennessee, two great-great nieces, one great-great nephew and six step-grandchildren.
His kindness, laughter and love will echo through the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
Visitation with the family will be 19 Dec 2023 from 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM at Pine Grove Baptist Church, 1005 Falls Branch Road, Duck River, TN. Funeral Services will be 20 Dec 2023 at 11:00 AM at Pine Grove Baptist Church, 1005 Falls Branch Road, Duck River, TN with burial to follow at Campground Cemetery, Centerville, TN.
