Rodgers, William Webb
William Webb Rodgers a resident of Hampshire, TN, age 90 passed away on Friday, January 11th at the LifeCare Center of Centerville. He was born February 20th, 1928 to the late James Emmett Rodgers & Annie Ava (Rodgers) Sisco in Pleasantville, TN.
He served 20+ years with the Air Force, serving from 1948 – 1968 during the Korean and Vietnam Wars. During his time with the Air Force, he obtained the rank of Chief Master Sergeant, the highest enlisted rank in the Air Force. After returning home he worked for the United States Postal Service for many years as a mail carrier.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Mildred (Bates) Rodgers, father, James Rodgers, mother, Annie (Rodgers) Sisco and brothers, Mandel Rodgers & Larry Rodgers.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be 12 Jan 2019, 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home, Inc. – Lewis County. Funeral Services will be held 13 Jan 2019 at 2:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home, Inc. – Lewis County with Drew Brewer officiating .
Serving as Pallbearers will be Randy Baxter, Mike Baxter, Chris Baxter, Brian Maxwell, Paul Turner, Larry Walton, Darrell Walton and Jason Walton. Members of the 1st United Methodist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers. Burial will be at Milan Cemetery, Centerville, TN.
The family would also like to thank the staff of Morning Pointe & LifeCare Center of Centerville.
