Rochelle, Barry Elvin

A native of Centerville, he was the husband of Tanya Booker Rochelle, to whom he was married for 37 years. He was the son of the late Luther and Myrtle George Rochelle. He was employed at Tencon for over 15 years, then by the former Gilbert’s Welding and Machine Shop for 29 1/2 years and most recently by Big G Metals.
In addition to his wife, he leaves his son Kyle (Jessica) Rochelle of Nunnelly; his daughter Kaitlyn (John) Harris of Oak Harbor, Washington; his grandchildren, Keegan, Adaleigh, Gage, Levi, and Wayland; sister, Joyce Connors of Clarksville, Tennessee, and other beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, family members, and his other “adopted sons and daughters”.
He was preceded in death by his parents Luther and Myrtle; brother John, sister Betty Daniluk, and nephews Keith Rochelle and Jim Connors.
Barry was a quiet and gentle man who loved his family and friends. There was not a child, teenager, or adult that came in contact with him that did not know his love and that they could count on him for anything. The racing world has lost a legend and a man who always devoted his time, knowledge, and skills to his son and fellow racers. He will be missed by all who knew him.
