Carl Leo Roberts, Sr. was born in Hendersonville, TN to the late Delbert Lee and Mary Elizabeth Jernigan Roberts on July 05, 1936, and entered eternal rest in Murfreesboro, TN on March 1, 2024, at the age of 87 years.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Roberts was preceded in death by first wife Dorris Joan Roberts, wife Barbara Gaudrea Roberts, and son Terry Randall Bates.

Mr. Roberts is survived by sons James Michael Roberts, Steve Edward (Lisa) Roberts, Carl Leo (Loretta) Roberts, Jr., daughter Jonie (Randell) Scott, stepchildren Kathy (Robert) Black, Mary (Chris) West, Liz (Kevin) Smith, Eugene (Lizzie) Vogt, John Robert (Heidi) Vogt, Kevin (Olga) Vogt, grandchildren Whitney, Steven, Carley, James Carl, Jeremy, Justin, Collin, Michael, Christian, Meghan, Jessica and great grandchildren McKinnly, Keller, Brensley, Stratton, many step grandchildren and step great grandchildren, sisters Sue Johnson and Ester Acker along with a host of other family and friends.

Mr. Roberts proudly served our Country in the United States Air Force with a career that spanned several decades and was honorably discharged as a Master Sergent. He worked in wildlife preservation as a taxidermist.

Mr. Roberts will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.

Visitation with the family will be 12 Mar 2024 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home – Hickman County.  Funeral Services will be held 12 Mar 2024 at 12:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home – Hickman County with burial to follow at Middle Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, Nashville, TN.
