Robert Theodore Sisco was named for a Captain in the Civil War unit of his father, William Walker Sisco, and he went by the name “Captain” or “Cap.” He was born 30 AUG 1865 in Dry Branch in Lewis Co., Tennessee and died 24 APR 1945 in Nevada, Collin City, Texas. When he died, his body was put on a train and shipped back to Tennessee for burial in the Sisco Family Cemetery at Dry Branch in Lewis County, Tennessee, next to his first wife, Louella Jordan.
After Louella Jordan Sisco died, Cap married Julia Horner from Perry County, Tennessee and moved to Texas with his three children from his first marriage. He owned a large farm in Collin County and had six more children.
This is a portrait of Cap when he was young. It looks like it was made in Nashville.
This is a photo of Cap and his second wife, Julia Horner. She died in 1917, so this picture is earlier than that.
Cap came back to visit his friends and relatives in Lewis County. The man on the left is unidientified, but Cap is in the middle, and his brother Andrew Jackson “Jack” Sisco is on the right.
This is a portrait of Cap late in the early 1940’s.
