Rita Sue Qualls was born on June 13, 1960 in Columbia, Tennessee to the late Jesse and Hazel Baker Harvill and entered eternal rest on June 13, 2024 in Centerville, Tennessee at the age of 64 years.

Rita is survived by her husband, Darryl Qualls, daughters, Katie Qualls and Jessica Tidwell (Dustin), aunt, Dorothy Baker, and a nephew and niece that she loved as her own, Kyle and Zoe Qualls.

Rita dedicated her life to the service of others. She worked for over 35 years as a registered nurse serving Hickman County and surrounding communities. She was a loving wife and Mother in addition to her nursing career. Although illness prevented her from continuing her work in nursing she never lost her caring and compassionate spirit.

Rita found immense joy in spending time with her family whom she loved deeply. Her kindness and warmth left an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her and she will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to Life Care Center of Centerville who provided loving care during her last year and to Compasses Hospice who loved her and our the family through her final days.

Visitation with the family will be 15 June 2024 from 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home – Hickman County.  Funeral Services will be 15 June 2024 at 1:00 PM with burial to follow at Totty’s Bend Cemetery, Duck River, TN.
