Martha Helen Qualls, age 76, of Hohenwald passed away at NHC Lawrenceburg on June 21, 2020. She was born February 28,1944 in Pleasantville,TN to the late Emmitt and Emma Lee (Ayers) Tanner. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Ray Tanner and Harlon Tanner, and sisters, Virginia Kilpatrick and Janie Tanner.

Martha was a former factory worker. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and working outside tending to the garden.  Another passion of hers was cooking, fishing and camping. Martha was baptized as a Jehovah’s Witness and had faith in the resurrection.  

Ms. Martha leaves behind her Children: Freda Werner and Jerry (Carlye McCarthy) Qualls; Siblings: Raymond (Becky) Tanner, Dorothy (Wilson) Staggs, Sammy Tanner; Grandchildren: Wade Qualls, Andrew (Kayla) Qualls, Kyle (Kasey Lynn) Qualls, Amanda McClain; and Great Grandchildren: Andrew V. Qualls, Gracie Qualls, Billy Qualls, Addyson Gray, Kylie Qualls, Jaxon Qualls, and Alaina McCann.

A memorial service may be held in the future.
