Qualls, Billie Joe
Billie Joe Qualls, known affectionately as Joe, was born in Beardstown (Perry County), Tennessee, on July 13, 1937, to the late Louis and Lillian Kelley Qualls. He entered eternal rest on June 1, 2025, in Centerville, Tennessee, at the age of 87.
In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Qualls and brother, Lonnie Qualls.
He is lovingly survived by his daughters, Letitia Tidwell and Tammy Williams; his sons, Bill (Sherry) Qualls and Christopher (Trina) Qualls; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of other cherished family members and friends including his church family at Nunnelly Church of Christ.
Joe had a deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures. He loved bluegrass music, spent countless hours woodworking, and had a talent for tinkering with lawn mowers and small engines. One of his greatest joys was gathering daily with his friends at the Homestead Restaurant — a ritual that brought him both laughter and companionship.
Joe will be remembered for his warm heart, skilled hands, and the joy he brought to those around him. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.
