Jo Ann Bates Pruitt was born on June 15, 1942, in Centerville, Tennessee, and passed away at her home in Nunnelly on August 18, 2023. She was 81 years old.

She is the daughter of the late Marshall Bates and Ruthie Loveless Armstrong.

She was also preceded in death by siblings James Bates, Ruby Nell Jenkins, and Jerry Lee Bates.

She is survived by her husband, George Kenneth Pruitt Sr. of Nunnelly. Son, Kenneth Pruitt Jr. of Nunnelly. Daughter, Tonya Pruitt of Lyles. Grandsons, Kanyon Pruitt and Bradley Parker. Great Grandsons, Levi Parker and Bryce Parker. Sister, Patricia Springer. Along with many other relatives, friends, and loved ones.
