William Harrison Powell, better known as “Cotton”, was born on March 17, 1947 in Nashville, Tennessee and passed away on December 30, 2021 in Nashville. He was 74 years old.

He is the son of the late Samuel Powell and Gracie Lucille Stinson Powell.

He leaves behind his beloved wife, Mary Elizabeth Newland Powell. Children, William H. Powell of Eagleville, Mary Ann Billings of Nashville, Jesse Powell of Lyles, Kerry Bogle of Nunnelly, Sandra Bogle of Clarksville, David Wayne Bogle and Mary Snider. Sister, Roxy Perkins of Norwood, Louisiana. Grandchildren, Shawn Stewart, Savanna Kamm, Casey Powell, James Parker, Allison Billings, Emily Brooks, Elizabeth Skelton, Kimberly Bogle, Timothy Bogle, Alexa Smithson, David A. Bogle, Adain Bogle, Logan Bogle, Kelly Tidwell, Isabella Jones, and Trinity Simmons. Great-grandchildren, Hunter Stewart, Saylee Stewart, Kadeem Stewart, Wiley Stewart, Remy Stewart, Dawson Kamm and Hayden Smithson.

Visitation with the family will be 3 January 2022 from 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM and 4 January 2022 from 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home – Hickman County.  Funeral Services will be held 4 January 2022 at 12:00 PM at McDonald Funeral Home – Hickman County.  Burial will be at Hilltop Cemetery, Centerville, TN.
