James Floyd Powell was born January 17, 1954, to the late William Floyd Powell and Doris Jenkins Powell. and died January 23, 2022, at the age of 68 years.

In addition to his mother, Doris, he is survived by his brothers, Zane, Tandy, Stacy (Lesa), Barry Todd (Tina), and Travis (Celine) Powell.  and sister, Sherry (Dennis) Tidwell.

Floyd was a lifelong resident of Hickman County and a member of the Centerville Church of Christ
