Joe P. Potts, 84, of Decaturville, passed away Saturday, February 15th, at his home.
He was born June 6, 1940 in Hohenwald, to the late Paul Norman and Willie Mae Potts. Joe was a retired towboat captain and was a member of Trinity Assembly of God.
Joe is survived by a daughter, Vonda Potts, of Decaturville; three sisters, Sue Newman, of Decaturville; Pamela Hart, of Reagan; Martha Potts, of Decaturville; three brothers, Robert (Delores) Potts, of Decaturville; Carlon (Marie) Potts, of Scotts Hill; Larry Potts, of Decaturville;
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Potts, 2 brothers, James Potts and Glen S. Potts, a sister, Karen Kay Kobeck and his parents.
His funeral service was held at Reed’s Chapel, Decaturville, TN, at 1 PM on Tuesday, February 18th. Keith Kirk officiated at the service. Burial followed in Trinity Cemetery.
