Pitts, Ann Curtis
Mrs. Ann Curtis Pitts, age 92, of Mount Pleasant, passed away on March 9, 2024, at NHC in Columbia.
Ann was born on May 14, 1931, to the late WR and Evelyn Curtis in Summertown.
Ann was married to William Pitts for 53 years before he preceded her in death on May 22, 2009. Mrs. Pitts was a very special homemaker with a passion in her life for her family. A lady of deep faith, Ann was a member of The Tabernacle Church in Summertown.
Ann is survived by her son: Ricky William Pitts of Summertown; daughter: Sheila Ann (Jerry) Hooper of Mount Pleasant; Son: Ronald Melvin (Belinda) Pitts of Summertown, grandchildren: Jerry Lee Hooper, Kaleb (Bailey) Pitts, and Cody Pitts; granddaughter: Madison Pitts; great-granddaughters: Aria and Ayla Pitts; sister-in-law: Debbie Curtis; and a host of several nieces and nephews.
Ann was a Lawrence County native and one oldest of eleven children born. Her siblings include Louise Ambrose (Bobby), Mary Lovell, Jack Curtis (Sandy), Lois Giles, Jean Giles (Bobby), Kathy West (Terry).
Ann is preceded in death siblings: Sis (Rubert) Theorn , Dave Curtis (Rubyneil), Bob Curtis (Rebecca), Larry Curtis; and brother-in-law: Vernon Giles.
A funeral service for Ann was on Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Williams Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant, with Rev. Ricky Pitts and Cody Pitts speaking. Ann was laid to rest at Polk Memorial Gardens.
