Pickler, Jimmie Gene
Jimmie Gene Pickler, age 73, of Dresden, was born on August 24, 1945 in Fulton, Kentucky to Chester and Ruby Pickler. He was a proud member of the US Army for 32 years, serving in Korea, Germany and Vietnam. He completed his service with the Tennessee National Guard working full time. God called him home, July 28, 2019, after an illness while at home under hospice care. He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Ruby (Turner) Pickler and a brother, Roger Pickler. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Judy (Turner) Pickler; daughter, Alicia Kay (Pickler) Mayo and husband, Terry, of Humboldt, son, Anthony Pickler (Austin) of Murray, Kentucky; and sisters, Brenda Stafford of Greenfield and Karen Calhoun (Jerry) of Union City. Service was held at Williams Funeral Home in Gleason on Wednesday July 31. A service was also held on Thursday, August 1, 2 p.m., at McDonald Funeral Home in Hohenwald with burial following in the Graves Cemetery in Linden.
