Peters, Nordella Horvath
Nordella “Kae” (Horvath) Peters (nee Manning), age 58, of Lorain, died Friday November 7, 2003 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph in Lorain after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Born August 1, 1945 in Oxnard, California, she was a resident of Lorain since 1979. A four year employee of the Lorain City Schools, she worked in the schools maintenance department. She enjoyed trips to Tennessee, motorcycles, cooking, old movies, and spending time with family and friends. She is survived by her loving husband and companion, Matthew R. Peters of Lorain; daughters: Sheri Kae Haskell and Telesha Novay Horvath, both of Toledo; daughter and son-in-law Kari Sue and Orlando Gonzalez of Toledo; and son: Michael Wade Horvath of Elyria; adored grandchildren: Dwain, Danelle, and Philip Haskell, Kadi and Matthew Gonzalez, and Mattie Garcia; sister: Elaine; and brothers: Nick, Chuck, and Martin Manning. She was preceded in death by granddaughter Olivia Simone; father: George D. Manning; mother: Ora Louella (nee Compton) Wilson; and brother: David Manning. There will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11:30 a.m. in the Gluvna-Shimo-Hromada Funeral Chapel – 3224 Broadway – Lorain, with the Reverend Peter Pritchard officiating.
