Parchman, John Allen
John “Allen” Parchman, age 66, of Centerville, Tennessee passed away at his home on March 15, 2024. Allen was born to Ann Parchman and the late Bill Parchman in Columbia, Tennessee on May 10, 1957.
Allen discovered his passion for service early on. After graduating high school from Columbia Central, he joined the Army National Guard. During this time, he found his love for computers through their tech program. His natural aptitude for technology blossomed.
After his service in the army, Allen and his wife relocated to Nashville, where they established their roots in the Oak Hill community. They resided there for many cherished years before making the decision to move to Centerville just three years ago, with the desire to be closer to their son. Allen lived out his passion for helping others by wearing many hats.
Allen cherished moments with friends and family. He enjoyed reading, canoeing, floating the Duck River, camping, card games with friends and loved the family pet, “Noelle”.
Allen is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Ellen “Ellie” Parchman of Centerville, Tennessee, son, John Parchman Jr., (Rachel), of Centerville, Tennessee, mother, Ann Parchman of Columbia, Tennessee, sister, Therese Howell of Franklin, Tennessee, sister, M.K. Burt of Springhill, Tennessee, step-granddaughter, Eve Parchman of Centerville, Tennessee and a host of nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.
In addition to his father, Allen is preceded in death by his brother, Billy Parchman.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday March 22, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of McDonald Funeral Home.
